Geography Action 2003 Habitats: Home Sweet Home

Be a habitat here - design a wildlife habitat for your schoolyard and enter it in this contest from National Geographic. Five grand prizes will be awarded - $1000 to each winning school (grades 3-6) to build the habitat. September 1, 2003 to January 10, 2004.

Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarship Program

80 scholarships of $5000 for sophomore and junior undergraduate students in two categories: 1) Those studying fields related to the environment, and 2) Native American students studying fields related to the environment, health care, or tribal public policy.

Post Doctoral Program in Sustainable Development

The Earth Institute at Columbia University seeks post-doctoral candidates interested in enhancing their disciplinary or applied disciplinary expertise and breadth needed to address critical issues related to sustainable development and reducing environmental degradation, poverty, hunger, and disease.
