I would love to have a dialogue purely on children's gardening
ideas/curriculum! Valerie Kelsey, from the Education and Programs Dept. of
the National Gardening Association, just sent me an amazing packet of
information. Their website is www.garden.org.
Try her for more information! She's a tremendous resource!
Shannon:
I'm the Associate Director of Education (very part time these days) and
author of our curricula, Growing Ideas newsletter, and other publications.
Beginning in February, on our new Kidsgarden.org Web site, we will be
featuing a series of discussion forums: integrating gardening into curricula,
school and community greenhouses, growing wildlife habitats, parents' forum,
and so on. The site will also have many other features including a
comprehensive article library, school garden registry and e-mail pals, a
resource and grant database, features for parents and kids, and so on.
If anyone is interested in being a forum discussion moderator, please e-mail
me at evep@garden.org to let me know. In a couple of weeks, I'll be sending
out more details.
Best,
Eve Pranis
