Call for Presenters
The conference planning committee for the Southwestern Region Community &
School Gardening Conference invites you to submit a proposal to present at
the:
4th Annual Southwestern Region Community & School Gardening Conference
February 22-25, 2001 In Phoenix, Arizona.
Deadline for Submission: October 20, 2000
We are looking for engaging, dynamic presenters to share your expertise and
knowledge in the areas of community or school gardening, wildlife habitats,
gardening in the southwest, hands-on workshops and greening the community.
This includes educators, city, county, regional employees from extension,
parks & recreation and other government agencies, landscape and urban
planners, horticulturists, gardeners, academics, neighborhood organizers,
community garden clubs and anyone who can share their knowledge.
Presentations/workshops will take place February 22-25, 2001 in Phoenix,
Arizona. Presentations should be 60 minute workshops /presentations that
will engage and educate conference attendees.  Presenters will receive a
complimentary registration to the conference. Travel and hotel expenses are
not provided and will be the responsibility of the presenter.
About the Conference
“Growing Awareness” is the only community & school/youth gardening
conference of its kind in the Southwest.  Last year 389 participants came
from throughout the U.S. and Canada.

This non-profit conference brings together community and school gardening
professionals to participate in workshops, hands-on activities, discussion
and networking.
Conference Fee is $125.00.
