Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I have a garden!
OK, technically what I have is some containers of potting mix with
seeds pushed into them. But darn it, it *will* be a garden.
As I looked at tomato seeds, I began to think that I've been confused
about tomatoes al these years. I have always thought that there were
two kinds of tomatoes, the vining kind and the kind that grow on
little treelike plants. Now I'm suspecting that all tomatoes are
really on vines, and that the little trees are thick vines which stand
upright because they're so short. But I couldn't locate a firm
statement either that *all* tomatoes grow on climbing vines or that
some don't.
Could someone straighten me out (heh, sorry) on this issue? I promise
that not all of my questions will be this silly. After growing up in
Ohio I really should know this already.
It's nowhere near trellis time yet, but I want to be prepared for
when it is.
