Moles don't eat potatoes. They are more purely carnivorous
(insectivorous, actually) than a cat. They may have clawed bits out
of your potatoes in their burrowing, but they wouldn't have eaten any
of them. You might check for other small burrowers such as gophers or
similar vegetarians.
