Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi all,
I'm having excellent luck with my seedstarting this year, except for
one thing...all my pepper seedlings (sweet and chile) are gradually
blackening and wilting. New leaves emerge pure and green and apparently
healthy, then gradually begin to develop black spots at the ends which
spread to cover more and more of the surface. They are not unduly leggy
or weak-looking other than this. They're on their 2nd or 3rd set of
true leaves, still in the small (1" x 1") plastic cells where they
germinated. I've fed them once with a very weak plant food solution
about 2 weeks ago, and was planning to feed again this week, as well as
transplanting them to larger peat pots. They're under lights in the
dining room and get outdoor sun whenever there is any. I would like to
know what is going on with their leaves first, though. Do any of you
more experienced seedstarters have suggestions? Thanks in advance,
Mary
