I've been reading the list from the archive for a few days now and decided
to join. I don't have a garden yet, but I am planning raised beds for my
landscaping and I want to use a lot of edibles. (The house is still under
construction.)

I don't have much of a yard and the soil that is there could be used to make
bricks, so raised beds with fill is looking like a better idea. I live in
Atlanta, where the only thing that seems to grow reliably in the clay soil
is subdivisions.
