Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

I hired a young man to help me cut down four more trees- one in the back yard and three in the front. Now the garden will get as much sun as I can provide it with. It really opened up the yard too.

The peppers and tomatoes are started in the seed table and are growing nicely.I decided to go ahead with my plan to build a teepee over top of a large birch stump in the side yard. We will do the "lasagna bed" thing over the sod (4' X 8') for the first time here and plant the teepee with sweet peas and yellow canary vines, sunflowers nearby, and nasturtiums underneath. On the other end of the bed goes a zucchini plant. I found out zucchini and cucumbers cannot be planted nearby as they will mess each other up by cross-pollinating.

The water storage system is shaping up nicely with the cross beams and barrels now installed on the old pine stump.

I planted the lily of the valley and Asiatic lilies a cross the path from the tomato's home-to-be trellis.

Regarding the discussion on OT; I thank everyone for their comments and responses. I tried to listen carefully to everyone's opinions and have decided to try to follow a few rules for my self based on your responses.

1.    Try not to post msgs. that contain only OT discussion.
2.    Send "OT only" discussions/responses directly to the interested parties.
3.    Keep my posted msg's. main topics to the "center of the wheel" as much as possible and include OT material as relevant in the msg.

I hope this is satisfactory for most everyone.

Have a great day,
bill missen.
