Cross pollinating will only effect the "seeds", so if you are only
going to eat your produce, don't worry. If you save the seeds from
this years veggies, then you "might" get something weird.
I have always wanted to try it [intentionally hand-cross-pollinate a
BlackBeauty zuke (tubular long) with a RolyPoly EightBall (round)]
Maybe this year I will try ....
