My niece's favorite color is purple. She will goggle down even the varieties
of purple carrots that I give low marks to. Want her to eat salad? Just use
red lettuce, white tomatoes and shaved purple carrots. I suppose my passion
for heirlooms and interesting colored vegetbles is messing up my sister's
kids : )

Jessica - if you find a source for black carrots, please let me know. The
only black I have are eggplants and melon.

JC - I was in boarding school in Spain for the 4th grade. One year they had
all the American kids in a separate "finance" class to teach us how things
work in the US and what our parents do. After the nun explained taxes and
the forms employers give to employees, I stood up and asked, "how do
prostitutes pay taxes?"

When my parents arrived for the "meeting" about me being hell bond, my Mom
asked the nuns if they answered my question. Of course not! Mom turned to me
and said, "they pay the same way pimps, drug dealers, politicians and nun
do, Love."

Of course later my mom asked if I knew what a prostitute was. I said no and
she exhaled rather deeply.
