Thanks for all the input. If the weather clears up anytime this weekend
then maybe I'll be able to finish putting together the 4x4 redwood that I
have for the beds and start mixing the dirt.
For any interested here is the main layout of my garden to be. There will
be a 1x12 vertical on the north end of my garden running East & West with a
small path between it and the neighbors fence to maintain the vertical
section. South of the 1x12 will be three 4x4 beds in an L shape. All the
beds together make a U shape with the opening of the U on the East end of
the garden (also leaves me the option of putting in a forth 4x4 bed).
Between all the beds will be 2 to 3 feet for walkways.
