I'm in zone 7.  I started the sprouting broccoli (hardy to below 10
degrees) last summer along with some brussel sprouts.  It was my first
year growing it and I'm really pleased with the results, will plant a
lot more next fall. (I started seeds on the porch and transplanted in
late Sept.) 

No I don't have a greenhouse, it's on my wish list VBG.  I start a lot
of seeds indoors under lights.  

I'm pretty new to winter gardening and am learning with everything I
do.  I would love to hear how and what you do this year.
