I think it says somewhere that strawberries, lettuce, and spinach are
all compatible, but I know from my own experience they love each other,
at least in my garden. I wouldn't bother with separators for the straw-
berries. They won't creep that fast, and you can cut off their little
suckers if they do. I usually let my strawberries go wild the first year
sending out shoots, and let them become established as secondary plants.
Then the third year they are pretty well worn out, so I replace about
half or two thirds with new plants. Good luck.
