Thanks, Dot > Dot Geib Radishes are one of the very fastest maturing plants and grow well in cooler weather, so you likely could get a crop of them before your potatoes emerge. However, you'll have to at least partially fill the container with enough soil - to give the radishes enough time to mature before the potato sprouts pop up. Potatoes can easily push they're growing shoots through 6" (or more) of loose, friable soil.
