Any good way to prepare the Swiss chard? I just bought some (yes, I did not grow it YET), but don't know how to cook it. Swiss chard, _Beta vulgaris cicla_, sounds like it might fit your description. I like neither beet roots nor spinach, but i find Swiss chard to be delicious. (I don't know what that says about its similarity to spinach. :-) A good thing about chard is that it will grow straight through the summer without bolting. The square foot spacing for Swiss chard is 6", or 4 per sqft. @->-`-,-------------------------------+ | Cousin Ricky USDA zone 11 | | rcallwo@uvi.edu formerly zone 6 | +-------------------------------------+ *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
