In a message dated 97-04-20 15:55:09 EDT, you write: << << I like corn, & would like to try growing it, but >> I'm not sure if it's worth giving up 3 blocks for 2 dozen ears. Has >> anyone else got opinions on this? >> >> > I have planted Platinum Lady Corn (se gene) at a spacing of 8" with > great success. >> This s good info, thanks! Any ideas on se corn ( prefer yellow or bicolor) that produces more than one ear per stalk? This seems to be rare info for a seed catalog to supply. yet you would think that it would be important info-sure is to me! I'd rather avoid the supersweets that need isolation, as I cant do that because of a neighbors garden that appears too close. (neighbor had no idea what type she had planted or when the maturity date was) TIA LauraA zone 7 *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
