We live in the southern USA in Alabama. I LOVE the weather and look of the
land but I find it (the peolpe) to be VERY narrow minded and resistant to new
ideas. I'm on land that has been in the family for 150 years so I have a
strong connection to this land BUT, when I lived in other states, GA ,AZ ,MD,
I enjoyed the people MUCH MORE however I found the people in TX to be just
like the ones in AL. NO FLAMES PLEASE these are just my opinions. EXAMPLE I,m
thinking of joining the Kawanias Club so I went to a meeting... and made the
mistake of saying that I felt that the creator gave us a cure to all ailments
in natural form and for all we know that the cure to cancer died with the
do-do bird. WEEELLLL.... youd thought I'd sprouted horns and a tail on the
spot. I was informed that the Bible does NOT say that and just what church
did I belong to??? I do not attend formal services and feel close to the
creator while communing with nature, gardening and watching the wildlife ect,
anf I said so and felt I belonged the "church of the earth". I dont think
I'll be invited back the next meeting.
