Hi folks: Is there a balance point for removing the suckers? As an example, I have removed all suckers in past years and had tall plants with acceptable but not overpowering yields. Other years I have left all suckers, had tons of fruit, but marginal size. I have had better luck with selective pruning......and yes I also cut back the tops to allow plant's stength to go to the fruit and not the stems. I'd like some other opinions....Al *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
