My understanding is that tomatoes are the exception, rather than the rule.
I've read in chat rooms that you can do this with some of tomato's close
relatives, such as tomatillos and peppers, but i have never seen such
recommendations in print. Recently i read a posting that claimed it could
be done with broccoli (cabbage's kissin' cousin), but again i have seen no
other reference to transplanting broccoli in this way.
