Organic Eradication of Snails

Hi All,
I just had to share this with everyone who is hard at work
planting their garden upon which the slugs and snails will
feast. I heard my dog (the infamous Brandy, who is half
Mexican red wolf) out in the garden, and she was snorting.
So I went out to see what was her problem. What I found
was either a less than pretty sight or a gift, depending on
your point of view and revolution threshold. She was laying in the middle
of the mint and strawberries, and she pulling snails from under the foliage
with her front paws. I watched as she smashed a shell against the cinder
block border to the bed and then sucked out the tiny
snail. She ATE IT!!! Then, she went after more!!! I had
wondered why she was spending most of her evenings in
my garden--even after dark. And I sort of wondered (not
really, but it did cross my mind once or twice) why the
snails hadn't been so active this spring. Yes, she's for
rent--provided you pay the airfare and give her a bath
before she comes home! I think she requires butter, garlic
and an ocassional dog biscuit, too.
