Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Howdy Square footers,
I've been quiet for a while, but have read most of the posts. Welcome all
you newbees, you'll find that square foot gardening is the easiest and most
productive gardening method out there in gardenville. This is from a guy
that couldn't grow an air fern and who's Chia pet ran away.
A low tech suggestion for you is to use the left over film in the camera from
Easter or Passover and take some pictures of your garden right now. Get the
film developed, extra set of prints of course, and get some plastic picture
preservers that will fit a 3 ring note book. Get some graph paper, the paper
with the square lines already on it, a three ring binder, a pencil and make a
log of your garden. Take some before (now), during (July/August) and after
(October/November) pictures of your garden, or say every 4 months for those
of you in the retirement climates. Include pictures of the kids, the pets,
the grandparents, the special people in your life and watch how that one 4 X
4 block gives back to you.
Next winter you'll have a record of success and failures and an idea of what
to plant, rotate, and try new. Note to the newbees, everyone has some
failures.
It's just an idea.
