Yes, I think this is what I`ll probably end up doing, but I`ll finish
reading the rest of the responses before I decide. I`d feel much
safer planting a few zucchini seeds...

When I first started, I made the mistake of leaving my seedlings where
my cats could get them. One night I checked on the plants, and lo and
behold, the onions and broccoli were undisturbed, but all 5
cauliflower sprouts had vanished! Sigh. I learned my lesson.
Anyway, thanks for the advice!
