Me, too! The goats are finally out producing their offspring's intake, and
I'm about to look at making some yogurt, and then back to the hard cheeses.
As to the Zone charts, I have to laugh when they say, it's not time to put
in shallots, onions, potatoes, and other cool season stuff,,, obviously not
in THIS ZONE 8 anyhow. Lettuce is threatening to bolt, the sweet peas are
valiantly hanging on, and the peppers are blooming already. If I walked out
to the South meadow, no doubt I'd probably already find dewberries ripe,
tho the main crop usually comes on around Mother's Day. My few strawberries
are making just enough for me to snack on each afternoon.
(Cheese is easier!)
