Hi there!
I used big old nails and neon pink string/twine for my spacing guide.  The 
nails are about 3in's above the raised bed- which is itself about 3in's 
higher than the soil.  I thought about the mulch later on to.  I seriously 
doubt that I'll do 6in's of mulch, but even if I do, I'm hoping the neon pink 
will show through in spots!
