Tomatoes that are not setting fruit are reacting to the intense heat. Once
the temperatures settle down during the coming month, fruit-set will
improve. Providing some shade now will help, as will applying an organic
mulch, to keep the roots cool. Be sure to keep your tomatoes and other
vegetable crops evenly moist, to prevent blossom-end rot. If lower leaves
of tomato plants are beginning to yellow and wilt, your plants may benefit
from some additional nitrogen.
