[Sqft-l] Welcome to the new list

I'm still getting the bugs out, and I'll have to explain a bit about how
this list server works over the next week or so. But we HAVE a new
list. :-) Send your messages to:
	sqft-l@xena.pkiclue.com

The list email address will probably be migrated to a gardening related
domain name (although this name will still work) but it will take a little
bit of time to register and get it running on the server. Please bear with
me during the transition from listbot to this server and while we get the
new domain running.

ObSqFt: Is anyone else swimming in squash? I planted 1 zucchini and 1
yellow crookneck. The crookneck is putting out 5-10 harvestable squashes a
week! The zucchini is going a bit slower (it almost died in a late frost
in April) but it's picking up steam. Both are planted at the edge of the
garden where they can roam out of the bed and down a weed strewn hillside
so they don't take up more than 4 squares in the square foot bed. I'm also
(finally!) having good success with peppers. I have 10 plants (red and
yellow and orange bells, banana peppers, and 2 chili peppers) and all but 2
of them have had peppers and several are just covered with peppers even if
the plant itself isn't very tall (under a foot high). One lesson from this
year's crop, don't transplant peppers too early. The plants I planted last
(to replace those lost in the same late April freeze) are doing MUCH better
than the plants that came through the freeze unharmed. Next year, I'm
waiting 'till May to set out my peppers, even if it seems warm and sunny.
