So, what do we talk about then? I've built my beds, dug them, planted them, read Mel's book so I know the correct plant spacing, put tunnels and frames up, put the garden to sleep each winter, and gotten it ready for spring. Why do I need this group, then, if I am unable to discuss gardening topics that range in whatever direction the ideas take me? I shouldn't be on this group just to teach newbies, after all. *I'm* gardening for food. I feed my family and my poultry with what I raise. I don't consider myself a "gentleman gardner" who doesn't get her hands dirty or doesn't use the products of my labors. If you can give me a new and different recipe for Zuchinni, more power to you! (I've got four plants this year!) If I can give you a suggestion, I bet you'd welcome it! (I plant both red and yellow cherry tomatoes because they look so great together with just a simple oil and herb dressing.) Are we getting too caught up in the process and not looking at the goal? Just my .02 cents worth Marjorie *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
