According to Rodale's , the primary benefit of worm castings is organic matter--the NPK is 0.5-0.5-0.3. The suggested application rate is, per 1,000 sq. feet, 250 lbs if your soil is of low fertility, 100 lbs if it's of med. fertility, and 50 lbs if it is of adequate fertility. It contains 50 percent orcanic matter plus 11 trace minerals. How'd you get that started, anyway? A kit, or did you just go out and dig some worms?
