Hi, apologies if this appears on the list twice, I got a message that it had bounced because of too many hops ... ??? -- Hi, > I'd kinda like to lop off a couple feet at the top just because they're > too damn tall & not staked properly, ( who knew they would get so tall??? } > plus I'm concerned they'll keep growing. Go for it then, it won't set them back. Tomatoes can be incredibly vigourous growers, trying to sprout out every which way. I prune my indeterminates but sometimes a few suckers get away on me and I end up cutting off some largish pieces. It doesn't seem to effect them adversely at all.
