I don't live in Oregon, Catherine, but I spent a summer near Bandon, just
inland at a small resort on the Rouge River earning money for college as a
waitress. I remember that the rhubarb, cherries and peaches were prolific
and very tasty. I made myself sick gorging on the wonderful
cherries--climbed a tree and stuffed myself!! In the way of veggies, the
big cash crop in the area was and is green beans. All and all, it was a
great summer, and I'll never forget the gorgeous scenery. Good luck on your
move. I made a move to Illinois last month, and numerous people on this
list were very helpful. Goes to prove Sq. Ft. gardeners are wonderful people.
