Hi folks -
I got a little lazy in harvesting some leeks and
swiss chard and it went to seed. This was several months ago.
My question is can I save the seed (they're both
non-hybrids) or is it worth it. THe swiss chard seed is brown and dried
though there's green seeds on other parts of the plant too. The leeks have
sprouted these huge ball shaped seed heads. Do I have to wait till the
leek seed heads completely dry out. How do I know the seed is ready to be
harvested?
thank you very much.
