Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Well, Uncle Mel says I should start my cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower
indoors sometime last month. I didn't. Is it too late, does anyone think (or
know) to go ahead and start 'em now? And if I do, when should I transplant
them outside -- same time as originally recommended, or a little later?
Also, can anyone help me understand for sure why I'm starting them indoors
-- a slightly lower soil temp? Or what? Do I need grow lights? I have a
window with a southern exposure, altho I notice that by this time of the
afternoon (5:30 pm), it's pretty shaded and no doubt has been for a while.
How many hours of sunlight do I need once they sprout?
Thanks everyone!
Patricia
Zone 7b, West Georgia
where rain is now 9" down for the year and ALL outdoor watering is
completely banned, even gardens. However, I'm getting the old well on this
place re-hooked up tomorrow and Friday, hopefully will be able to water then
and therefore plant a few things
