A) Please do NOT ever send on "warning" messages of this type.
B) Specifically, do NOT ever put all the addresses in your address book in
the "from" line, when doing so you expose everyone in your address book to
having their address harvested by people who the message is subsequently
passed on to, which can often mean a great increase in spam.
C) If you are concerned about getting a virus, educate yourself on how
viruses are spread, and then follow appropriate safety rules. There are
always literally HUNDREDS of virus spreading files being emailed around
the Internet at any given time. Sending a warning message of this sort is
next to useless, as you would have to find all of the viruses currently
being spread and warn about ALL of them for the message to have any useful
value.
D) These "warning" messages are a virus of sorts themselves, they
replicate and spread around the Internet long after the actual virus is
well contained. Ditto for Internet petitions, emails about missing
persons, etc. As a rule, anytime you receive ANYTHING that asks you to
send it to "everyone you know", you should NOT send it on. Ever. Sending
them on always does far more harm than good. Always.
