I guess we're all recovering from the '01 gardening season, which for me in
the Washington, DC, area was pretty sad. Not only did I not get everything
INTO the rasied beds on the south side of my house, I didn't get hardly any
tomatoes OUT of those beds either. Bummer year.
However, I did harvest eatable grape tomatoes from my one 'Juliet' plant on
December 20.
And my parsley patch, which looked dead as a doornail pretty much all year,
rebounded in secret in the fall and is now much bigger than ever before. I
just happened to see it while grabbing those late tomatoes.
The seed catalogs began to arrive around December 15, and I'm sure
everybody will begin getting them between Xmas and New Year's. That ought
to cheer us all up.
Happy holidays from the Right Coast.--Janet
