Thanks for the planting dates for elephant garlic.  I read somewhere that it
took 5 years for elephant garlic to reach picking size from planitng the
clove.  Consequently, I just left mine in the ground last year and it is
still going.  Hmmm . . .  better let it keep going until near those longest
days.
