Hi Marie, I also grow longkeepers, I ripen mine in a box in the corner of the kitchen. I still have a big tray full. Here in Maine I bring in all my tomatos to ripen just before the hard frost, (around 3rd week in Sept.) They never turn red on the outside but the inside does, and they taste really good in January. I'm not a big tomato eater, but my husband loves them. I can a lot. I start my own plants, usually Floramerica, Roma, Early Girl, Tear Drop, Big Boy, Jumbo Jim, Longkeeeper, Celebrity and a currant tomato called the Maine Tomato Berry. I usually have a Sweet 100, I like to eat the tiny tomatoes. Going to be a long wait, looks like this is going to be a looong winter. Ann
