Hi Melissa,
Do your yellow leaves also have brown or black spots? If so, you have one
the notorious Texas blights--probably early blight or septoria. Best
remedy--pull off all the yellowed leaves and any with spots and destroy
them. Immediately, spray the plants with a fungicide. Neem oil if you are
organic. Any commercial fungicide for veggies, otherwise. And, spray every
10 days hereafter.
If there are no spots, try more light, less water and an application of fish
meal emulsion or liquid kelp. You can get liquid kelp in your area from
John Droomgoogle at his nursery--Nature's Own or Best, on BeeCave Rd. in the
southwest section of Austin. he is a fountain of organic info.
Good luck,
Doreen

Hi everybody!
Just last night I was wondering where everyone was and two messages come in
this morning! Hi Doreen and Olin!
I know I've seen info on yellowing tomatoe leaves on the list, what's
happening to my leaves?
I'm in Austin, Tx, the plants ahve mini-greenhouses around them and their on
the patio in containers. I have them companion planted with some chives and
thumbelina carrots.
I was thinking they aren't getting enough light and that was causing the
yellowing, but I seem to recall other ailments for tomatoes and yellowing
leaves. I think I've also noticed some pest flying out when I've removed the
cover to check on them....
I think that's all the symptomology thanks for any help.
Melissa
