Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi, Kristine! There are 3 cultivars of garden straberries:
1) Junebearers---bear in June or July (April in FL & CA) with a single large
crop over 3-4 weeks
2) Everbearers---produce a moderate crop in June, scattered berries in
summer, & a small crop in late Aug.....total harvest is less than for
Junebearers
3) Day-neutrals---unaffected by day length & extremely productive with fruit
from June thru frost in Northern areas, but they do require pampering
Also, there is a parent species of the garden strawberry called the Alpine
strawberry. These produce small, aromatic berries from early summer thru
frost. They are care-free & make good ornamental edgings.
Keep the faith!
