I don't know if that qualifies as a mild or cooler climate????

Best I know (being a westerner) they call you Mid-West and Northeast.
Everbearing:
Gem (Superfection, Brilliant, Gem Everbearing, and Giant Gem)[Mich]
Geneva [NY]
Ogallala [Neb]
Ozark Beauty [Arkansaw]
Day Neutral:
Tribute [Maryland]
This Day neutral strawberry with tart fruit is resistant to disease.
Tristar
This day neutral variety is resistant to diseases. The fruit is sweet and
highly recommended.
ORTHO, All About Growing Fruits, Berries, and Nuts
The 1982 did not have Nuts, or the day neutrals.
The 1987 did.
Researching raspberries a month ago, I found several strawberries available
for sale as a new strain. You need newer help, perhaps. Things are going so
fast nowadays. Gahndi said, "There is more to life than increasing it's
speed."
Also mentioned was a reccommendation that may apply to you...plant in early
spring, as opposed to fall, due I think, to lattitude, reading between the
lines. Perhaps a 'cold box' would help. I'm studying using heating tape, 6w
per foot. likely you can call the nursery/Home repair and garden store to
discover when they will come in. I've discovered polite persistance will also
get you the varietal name, even sometimes, "well, we'll add that to our order
too." This implies a moral obligation, as they have to buy quanity. have
your reasons and facts and quotes handy. Let them know you're a member of a
'club' and will pas the info along.
Bill
Someone have newer info?! More varietals?
Also for calif, near coast?
And what do they mean "cooler" but not "mild?"
TIA (Thanks In Advance)
