Yes!!! I have 2 bins made from wire and a 3rd black plastic bin my aunt
bought for me. I build up a pile of compost every fall and winter in one of
the wire bins and then turn it into the other wire bin every week or so
during the spring. During the late spring and summer, I don't add my kitchen
scraps to the bins but smoosh them up in a blender and add them directly to
the garden. I turn the compost that is in the wire bins every 3-4 weeks
during the summer and when it is done I put it in the black plastic bin to
use as finished compost for the following spring. It's a system that seems to
work well for me and my garden.
