Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I am trying to decide which tomato seeds to buy from Burpee. I am
looking for a smaller (no 3 lb giants) tomato that is as disease
resistant as possible. I also prefer indeterminate over determinate.
Below are the ones I am looking at:
Red October Winter Star Hybrid <-- Web site says good disease
resistance
Winter Red Storage Hybrid <-- Web site says disease resistant
Saladette Ensalada Hybrid <--This one doesn't seem to be disease
resistant
4th of July Tomato <-- This is disease resistant to two types of
wilt, TMV, and nematodes
I am open to other suggestions - but would like just Burpee seeds for
now. Has anyone had better results with one over the others?
Also, I am looking at the following cherry/grape tomatoes:
Sugar Snack Hybrid Cherry <-- Resistant to TMV and nematodes
Juliet Hybrid Cherry Tomato <-- Doesn't appear to be disease
resistant
Christmas Grape Cherry Tomato <-- Doesn't appear to be disease
resistant
Again, any information would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to
respond off list.
Maybe I'll just try to grow all of them. I'll have to increase the size
of my garden though. . . :-)
Thank you in advance,
Michelle - Zone 6 - PA
