Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
This is interesting. a little sidebar about root
depths of common crops in the Rodale book.
I was strongly impressed to post
it to the list, but didn't. Guess I'll do that now. <g>
Btw, I don't have any comments on the proposal -- am just passing this
along because it seems like it might be useful

I have oft been tempted to 'intro' and pay my respects to you.
I always find your posts illuminating or illucidatory.
If folks, which I tend to believe we serve slightly more than are served by,
in terms of the majority (which is fine) would ad 2+2+2 as I say, a post will
be enough tp ring a bell somewhere in their bellfry.
The sortest of these popular crops you mention 18" in root.
Lettuce and short carrots may do well in 6-10" other books say.
This was for an older gal w a bad back, and I like her a lot and want to
assist her... but want her to also see from others, the reamifications and
alternatives, to include rasind a level next year for wheelchair use
someday... Thx kid!
Bill
