Hello All,

I am making an effort to go organic this year so I am looking for some
advise. My local garden center carries this brand of products as their
organic brand and unless I hear advice to the contrary I'll be using them
for fertilizing most of my raised beds. I guess the main reason is the cost
and the convienance, some of the organic fertilizers I've found on the net
are VERY expensive and when you add S&H become too costly for me. Anyway on
to the product, they have a product called "Garden Tone" which is a general
use garden product rated at 4-6-6 also containing 15 trace elements. A
complete copy of the label can be found at
http://www.espoma.com/default1.html

The recommended application rate is 5lb per 100 sqft as soil preparation and
additional feedings throughout the growing season (please see the url above
as I found their directions a bit confusing).

Some people on this and other lists have cautioned about too much fertilizer
so my questions are these:

1. Does anyone have anything to say pro or con about this brand.
2. Does anyone think the recommended rate of application is excessive, not
enough or just about right.

I am a member of a couple of other gardening lists so I'm going to crosspost
this to them, I know that many of you are on the same lists so if you see
this more than once please forgive.

Thanks.

Charlie
