Hi all,
I am new to this site and method. I have laid off 4 raised beds using
some cinder block I already had on hand. I plan to lay off 2 - 4 more
if I find something ele laying around. I am about to start mixing
things to fill these bed with. My soil is a worn out tobacco field and
I am going to run a quick soil test using a little kit from Walmart. I
live in piedmont NC and have clayey soil. I hope I can find vermiculite
in cubes, but doubt it will be local. I have a little compost I have
made and can easily obtain "Black Cow." Do I need sand?
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
Carol P.
