Concernign your fig tree... they are decidiuos (sp?) and teh leaves
should have fallen.  Figs produce fruit on the new growth only, so this
means that you can't go wrong pruning them.  Hack away, but never remove
more the 20% of ANY trees branches in one season or you will evoke the
disater response in the tree.  Wild fast random growth.
