Greetings,
Well, I reviewed the amount of land my mother in law is willing to give up
out of the orchard and discovered that I have room for two rows of ten four
foot by four foot blocks. That's much more than I had hoped so I am
wondering what I will plant.
Now I have some questions: does anyone plant according to the farmer's
almanac and how accurate is it? The vegetable guide in it says to plant
most of the things I want in early March but the last frost here is not
until late May. What, then, is the correct time to plant from seed and then
to put out starter plants (I buy some of my plants already grown from the
local nursery because some things just will not grow for me from seed) What
zone is southwest Colorado in? And how long is the growing season? I was
told it depends on the altitude.
