Re: Tomato Seed/Damp Off Spray

Hello, What is damp-off?........If I understand correctly, from what I've
read, damping off is caused by a fungus that attacks the seedlings, it's
caused by the constant damp environment they are in, also from contaminated
pots etc. It attacks the little seedlings at the base of the stem and it
simply rots and dies. Removing daily the covers on the seed trays for airing
out and applying a fungus inhibitor will help. Now, if I have the incorrect
understanding of this, will someone please correct me.  BTW, I did like the
suggestion about using cinnamon or strong spices to repel ants, and I will
try it.  Does it actually kill them or just repel them?  Thanks, Dot
