Re: Crossing in the Garden


A first generation cross of any two plants affects only the seeds. Therefore,
unless it is the seeds you want to eat (corn, amaranth grain etc.) it does
not matter. When you plant the crossed seeds you get a hybrid, something
different from each parent. Could be good, usually isn't. Tens of thousands
of seedlings are destroyed for each "keepable" new plant variety.
