There are several large gardening FAQ's composed and maintained
by various people, including a long one about dealing with slugs. They
are re-posted regularly in the Usenet group rec.gardens.
A slug FAQ is available at:
http://www.gil.com.au/~emmerik/slug_snail_FAQ.html
This seems to be the one posted to rec.gardens.
Or you can search the Deja News archive of Usenet for
the rec.gardens posting. Just go to:
http://www.dejanews.com/
and do a "Quick search" on "slug FAQ rec.gardens" and you'll get
the FAQ (broken into 5 parts).
