I've thought about doing this for watermelons--that is, planting them in a
circle in the lawn of the back yard and letting the vines wander, but I didn't
know how well this would work. Obviously you can't cut the grass if you vines
growing over it, so how do you keep it from becoming a complete jungle by the
end of the summer?
